The chalice features twelve hand-painted fire enamel medallions on the cup and base depicting each of the Twelve Apostles with a fine filigree overlay between the medallions. The golden paten is significantly simpler than the chalice and is stamped with an IHS monogram in the center of the lid.
Both the chalice and the paten are made of sterling silver with a fine 24k gold plate finish. They are polished to perfection and are sold as a matching set. The chalice's cup holds up to12-ounces and is large enough for most ceremonial purposes. The chalice and paten set are perfectly matched and are imported from Spain as a set.
