St Remy Tabernacle With Genuine Gemstones
A Tabernacle is a type of decorative storage cabinet that is used in some Christian churches to store reserved quantities of the consecrated Eucharist. The Tabernacle is often made of metal, stone or wood and is made to be lockable as well as secured to the altar or adjacent wall in some manner. This is to prevent the consecrated Eucharist within from being removed without the knowledge of the proper authorities. When needed, the Tabernacle is unlocked and hosts are removed for distribution during Mass, sick communion or other special events.
Done in a German Romanesque style, the beautifully crafted St. Remy Tabernacle is made to look like a miniature cathedral. It features an abundance of details on the face, sides and top of the piece, with fire enamel cabochons and cloisonné. The top is detailed to look like it is shingled and the outline of windows appear on all sides. This incredible piece is available in two sizes to suit the storage needs of any church. It also comes in three finishes including brass silver-plated, brass gold-plated and brass two-tone finish.
